Fascinating Facts About U.S. Presidents

Directions: On your own document, add in the 10 missing apostrophes below. We completed number 1 for you.

1. It’s a lot of work being America’s president. But the job’s benefits are pretty great. The president has a plane, Air Force One, and a theme song, “Hail to the Chief.”

2. The White House is the presidents home. Its a great place to live if you love food! Five main chefs work there. They stay busy: The chefs dishes can feed 1,000 people!

3. Many presidents kids have lived in the White House. The childrens time there was probably fun. The building has a movie theater and a chocolate shop!

4. Americas first president was George Washington. Washingtons teeth were fake! He ruined his real teeth using them to crack walnut shells.

5. President Calvin Coolidge walked his pet around on a leash. Coolidges pet wasnt a dog. It was a raccoon!

6. Abraham Lincoln was a wrestler before he became president. He won a lot of matches. Lincolns now in the Wrestling Hall of Fame!
